Audit — Weeks 1–2
Structured diagnostic. Where are decisions getting stuck? Where is the founder spending time they shouldn't? What does the team lack clarity on? Output: a clear picture of what the CoS needs to own, in priority order.

Team Alignment — Weeks 3–6
OKR workshop with the leadership team. Company vision into yearly objectives, quarterly KRs, tracked weekly. Everyone leaves knowing what the company is optimising for, who owns what, and how decisions get made. The Uber system — not a template.

What came after that operator experience was a decade of founder coaching — working with startups on the operating systems and leadership structures that turn early-stage companies into unicorns. What does this actually cost?
Scope and investment are confirmed on your first call — not before it. What we can tell you: the full programme (interim + permanent placement) is a flat fee. The interim-only engagement is monthly. Both are structured for Series A/B economics, not enterprise retainers. No surprises, no add-ons.
How is this different from a recruiter?
A recruiter matches CVs. We've built the CoS role from the inside, at companies that became unicorns. We go in first — install the system, define the role, then hire into a working machine. Your permanent hire lands on day one into a job that already exists. A recruiter cannot do that.
I already have someone in mind for the role.
That's fine — and it's more common than you'd think. The interim engagement still makes sense: we install the system before your candidate starts, so they ramp in weeks not months. If you want us to assess your candidate against what we know excellent CoS looks like, we can do that too.
Do you work outside the UK?
Yes. We work across the EU and UK. Previous engagements have spanned Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Geography is not a constraint — operating rhythms travel.
How quickly can you actually start?
Week one from the first call, assuming fit is confirmed. There's no onboarding period and no ramp time. We've done this before — at Uber, at Lazada, at the companies we've since coached to unicorn. The operating system is already built. We're installing it into your company, not building it from scratch.
What if it doesn't work out?
We've never had an engagement fail mid-term. But if fit breaks down — for any reason — we'll work with you on a structured exit, not disappear. We also won't take an engagement we don't believe we can deliver on. That's what the first call is for.
